Congratulations to Nigel Richardson, (Director of Children’s Services at Leeds City Council in the UK) and his team. His department has just been inspected by the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted). Ofsted inspects and regulates services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages in England. This is a very positive report and shows significant progress since Nigel was appointed Director. Leadership, Management and Governance was rated as “Outstanding”. Many users of this site will know that Nigel is an enthusiastic exponent of OBA and uses it to underpin his work with children and young people in Leeds. It’s heartening to see several references to OBA in the report. You can read it here
