Whenever I attend an event that David is facilitating I know it will be a lively and interesting meeting. He has immense knowledge of the voluntary and public sectors, always up to date with the ever changing regulations and has a remarkable ability to help everyone at a meeting get the most from it. I highly recommend him

Update on OBA in Leeds

One of the most enthusiastic exponents of OBA™ in the UK is Leeds City Council who has used the framework to great effect in its Children’s Services Department.  Under the leadership of Director Nigel Richardson, the department has focussed on three indicators (known as ‘Nigel’s Obsessions’) in the knowledge that if these can be improved, other indicators will follow. He has also developed what he calls his “Thing of Beauty” which is a simple, regularly updated graph showing progress on each of the key indicators. I have posted a case study of progress to date which you can find under the Resources section (Publications and Case Studies).  It makes for interesting reading and demonstrates how the values of OBA (Simple, common sense, plain language, minimum paper, and useful) are making a difference in Leeds.
